NEW YORK CITY - A nationally recognized law firm and an internet marketing specialist are the latest tenants to sign leases at 1350 Broadway, a W&H property in the center of the Penn Plaza district, announces Fred C. Posniak, Senior Vice President of W&H Properties.
Law firm Meyer Suozzi English & Klein, P.C. signed a long-term renewal of its 10,970-square-foot suite on the building's fifth floor, which it has occupied since 1999. Established in 1960 and headquartered in Garden City, NY, the firm's members include Joseph A. Suozzi, former State Supreme Court Judge; Hon. John V.N. Klein, former Suffolk County Executive; Basil A. Paterson, former New York Secretary of State; and Harold Ickes, former White House Deputy Chief of Staff.
James Emden and Ross Zimbalist of CB Richard Ellis represented the firm in the lease negotiations, together with Jeffrey Nemshin of Paragon Group, LLC.
e-Dialog, a provider of intelligent e-mail marketing solutions, leased in excess of 7,300 square feet on the third floor. Established in 1997, the firm is a wholly owned subsidiary of GSI Commerce Inc. (Nasdaq: GSIC) with offices in Boston, London, New York and Seattle. Its clients include The National Football League, BMG Music Service, American Eagle Outfitters, the TJX Companies (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Bob's Stores) and SmartBargains.com.
Jeff Mack of GVA Smith Mack of Pennsylvania represented e-Dialog in the lease negotiations.
"Credit-worthy tenants continue to favor space in quality properties with financially strong owners, no matter what the economy is doing," says Mr. Posniak. "W&H buildings are particularly fortunate in this regard, on account of ownership's long-term financial stability. Tenants and brokers know that the promises we make - such as the completion of our $53-million upgrade program, tenant fit-outs and brokerage commissions on lease signing - will be fulfilled."
Situated on the north side of Herald Square in the Penn Plaza district, 1350 Broadway contains 25 stories and more than 400,000 square feet. It offers convenient access to the Long Island Rail Road, Metro North, New Jersey Transit, Amtrak, Port Authority, PATH and fifteen subway lines.
The property's $53-million program of upgrades, currently in progress, includes a new lobby, renovated elevators, upgraded building systems, renovated air-conditioned public corridors, new restrooms, and a new roof and façade.
The building is owned by 1350 Broadway Associates L.L.C, a partnership led by Peter L. Malkin and Anthony E. Malkin.
Broker commissions are paid in full at lease signing.
