NEW YORK CITY - W&H Properties has launched a $53-million capital improvement program at 1350 Broadway, a Pre-War Trophy office tower in the Penn Plaza District, announces Jonathan Fanuzzi, managing director of Newmark Knight Frank, the building’s managing and leasing agent.
The renovations underway include a new lobby, renovated elevators, air-conditioned public corridors, and restrooms, along with upgraded building systems.
"The high quality that will result from these renovations is the same as that of the original properties in the W&H portfolio -- 60 East 42nd Street, 501 Seventh Avenue, 1359 Broadway and 250 West 57th Street -- where the capital improvement programs are complete," notes Mr. Fanuzzi.
"All of these properties underwent top-to-bottom renovations, which transformed them," he continues. "In fact, two of the properties were honored as Renovated Building of the Year by the Building Owners and Managers Association of New York (BOMA NY). Now tenants at 1350 will be able to enjoy a similar transformation that, in combination with the prime Herald Square location -- with its unparalleled access to transportation and amenities -- will culminate in a modern, professional environment with Class-A facilities and amenities."
Situated on the north side of Herald Square, 1350 Broadway contains 25 stories and more than 400,000 square feet. It offers convenient access to the Long Island Rail Road, Metro North, New Jersey Transit, Amtrak, Port Authority, PATH and fifteen subway lines.
The building is owned by 1350 Broadway Associates L.L.C, a partnership led by Peter L. Malkin.
Broker commissions are paid in full at lease signing.
